LIFE – DEATH – RECARNATION
Ø There is a continuous cycle of birth and death and then rebirth going on in this universe.
Ø This cycle continues till one get self realization and gets liberated.
Ø Therefore, the sages says that our death is not a real death as after death we are bound to get a rebirth..
Ø The real death is when we get liberated and that is a real bliss
Ø There are 4 yugas – sat, treta, dwapar and kali
Ø At the end of each yuga – there is a state of total dissolution.
Ø At the end of kali yuga, again sat yuga begins and this cycle also goes on
Ø Now, we are in kali yuga – which is combination of 25% sat and 75% asat. Therefore, we can see so many problems like corruption, politics, environmental problems, etc. even in things like spirituality, astrology, etc. – 9 out of 10 are bogus. So the environment is very difficult, not conducive to be on right path of life, to achieve the real purpose of life. Also there is lack of knowledge about this. So all these things combined creates a negative synergy and multiply the problems. But we have to find a way out of all this. If we do not make any progress in this life, remember that next life, the environment is going to be even more difficult, the life is going to be more tough… so the more we delay, the more we are going to suffer…
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE
The purpose of life is to progress from mortality to immortality; from materiality to spirituality; to get ourselves free from the cycle of birth and death; to reach a complete bliss situation; from temporary happiness to constant bliss state.
HOW TO ACHIEVE IT OR PROGRESS ON THIS PATH
First – believe in the theory of birth-death cycle
Believe in hindu scripture
Believe in what our great sage, yogis, saint have said. If we study what they say, we will find so many common things though their period, place, religion, etc. is different. This will/should give knowledge and confidence about what life is
Need to study the nature, material world – rationally, from a 3rd person’s point of view. If we do that, we can see/observe following things:
Nothing is permanent here and only thing which is constant is a change.
Nothing can give u permanent happiness or even permanent grief.
Whatever act gives u lot of pleasure and happiness, with repetitive performance – the happiness diminishes and even sometimes we develop nautia about it. In economics there is a famous law on this called as law of marginal diminishing utility.
The things we are doing in this life, we may have done it n number of times in our n no. of previous births.
If we closely observe, there is no big difference between a pig and human being. A pig will always like to play and remain in mud even if an option to be at some clean better place is available because that is his nature and that’s what he likes.
Similarly, it is a case of human mind which again and again goes in the material world gets attached to it and don’t want to come out of it….
I am sure that when a liberated soul looks at us and then at pig, he will find the 2 scenarios or almost same…
All the great saints have said one common thing that the material world we are living in is unreal…. Normally we take it in literal sense and may just laugh at it…. But we need to go more deep and understand real meaning of it…..
When we go to bed and during our sleep, see a dream – till the time we get back to our conscious mind and wake up, till the time the dream is broken, the dream is a real world for us, isn’t it??? Similarly, these saints when reach to a state of bliss, they experience that this material world is unreal… only difference is that the dream is at micro/personal level whereas the dream of materiality is at macro/gross level….
There is/are club/s in usa of virtual reality and members of these clubs are so addicted to it that when they are part of the virtual reality world, they feel that it is a real world and when they come out of it, they feel that it is unreal world…..
Unless and until we come out of the impact of the materiality, unless and until we progress on spiritual platform, we cannot experience what these great saints have experienced… but we need to wise enough to believe what these saint have said and atleast consider the possibility of this being a fact….. just see if we assume that what these saint say is true then… then what good and bad things we experience in our daily routine, everything becomes unreal like nightmares or sweet dreams…this point of view, this realization, if we use in a positive way, then this alone can bring miracles in our life…..
So to progress on the real path of life, towards real purpose of life, we have to understand the nature of the material things and try to free ourselves from the impact of the materiality..
Material world consist of 3 gunas – satva, rajas and tamas. Each person’s body and mind consist of these gunas but in diff. proportion. One has to progress from high proportion of tamas to rajas and to satvik.
IS GOD OR SYSTEM UNFAIR TO MOST
We often see some people reaching to top without any efforts whereas most of the people struggle to get anything despite of their hard efforts.. why?
Some people are leaving very happily whereas in many people’s life there is only grief… why?
Again the hindu scripture/believes and astrology has answer to this question. We experience this inequality because we cannot see the complete picture/story in totality. What we can see is only the present picture frame and we try to judge based on that and then fail to understand the things….
There is one basic and fundamental law which governs the world is that -
Every action has equal and opposite reaction. Or ‘perave tase ugavate’
Nothing happens in this world as a matter of chance… everything what happens has some reason behind it.. problem is that we have limited knowledge to understand it…
We take birth in a family where/when is totally destined and is not matter of chance… and it is governed by our balance sheet which is carried forward from our previous births…..
So whatever good and bad things happen in our present life is governed by our past good/bad actions which may from this birth or from previous birth – carried forward liabilities and assets…
The time when our assets and liabilities, profit and loss becomes NIL and when there is no source/initiation of new assets/liabilities – then we can say that we have reached to state of liberation….
Till the time there are things on assets and liabilities, we are bound to take births to match/ reconcile our assets and liabilities…
One believe it or not… this law is not going to change and is going to be operative…..
